Your terminal is not pre-configured to allow for Transaction Referencing. If you would like Transaction Referencing to be enabled on your terminal please contact the terminal Helpdesk.
Transaction Referencing can be used to reference each transaction’s ticket to a specific terminal operator, or location. The most common use of Transaction Referencing is in the leisure industry for use by Waiters (operator) and Tables (location).
The labels for these references are completely customisable for your needs, so you could have Room Number (in a Hotel), or Invoice ID (in an office based business), or maybe Customer ID. Please contact the terminal Helpdesk if you wish to customise these labels.
OPERATOR – Operator ID (Waiter ID) is printed on both the merchant and customer copy of the transaction receipts. You will also have a sub-report on your X/Z Balance reports which breakdown the transactions including gratuities (if enabled) by each operator. Operator ID has a range from 1 to 99.
LOCATION – Location ID (Table ID) is printed on both the merchant and customer copy of the transaction receipts. Location ID can be up to twenty-five characters in length and formed of both letters and numbers if required.
HANDSET – Handset ID is enabled by default, and allows you to simply reference which terminal was used to take the transaction, when you have more than one terminal in use in your business. The default value of 01 can be changed within the supervisor menu.
